Re: Cresswell
No he hasn’t
Both Rice and Moyes have for their incidents
Which further indicates he’s not getting it into his head that you can’t defend with your hands all over the opposition

Re: Cresswell
In an attempt at a serious conversation with you
I’m proud of the rest of the team
Never said I wasn’t
I’m disgusted with Cresswell though
The reason being he didn’t learn from his mistake
He just repeated it
It’s my opinion that if he receives no criticism for what he’s done, then he will continue to think he’s just been hard done by
He should be dropped today with Johnson taking his place
Whether or not that happens I don’t know

I'm not obsessed with you or your age. And I'm certainly not obsessed with slagging off one of our players after the best season in recent years.
You could of course have congratulated the whole squad for how well they've all done.
But a childish cunt like you wouldn't dream of it.
Maybe at the game tomorrow you can boo him and see how that works out you pathetic cunt.

Re: Cresswell
I seem to think that Cresswell is the only player that’s ever done anything wrong
Do you have any understanding of the term ‘relevance?’
What other player should I be having a pop at for being sent off twice in 3 games?

You’ll have to forgive me for not updating my age each year, I was 23, 17 years ago when I created my profile
So perhaps you can stop being obsessed with my age now you fucking weird cunt

It’s the biased attitude that one of your own teams players can do no wrong that makes you as bad as a spurs fan

All our players are capable of doing wrong. but you seem to think that Cresswell is the only player thats EVER done anything wrong that makes you worse than any Spurs fan.
Your profile says you’re 31 and your hero’s are Dicks who’s last game for us was before you was born and di Canio who’s last game was when you was 2 which makes you worse than a Man U fan or maybe you are one.

Re: Cresswell
only1billybonds,

“Ever” maybe a bit extreme but certainly in our lifetime.

It’s been 42 years and counting and as I said on another thread, in the past 9 years the FA Cup and the League cup have all been won by the big 5 clubs of Liverpool, Man Utd, Man City Chelsea & Arsenal. Only Leicester in that time have broken that spell.

It’s now almost impossible for clubs like us to win a domestic trophy.

With Newcastle now having unlimited funds that’s about to make it even harder.

The Europa League was our best ever chance and we blew it.

Re: Cresswell
Swindon.

I think Mr Barnet took exception to the word 'EVER'.

Bit over the top, no one knows what the club will look like this time next year and yet you are saying our trophy room will remain empty for the rest of eternity.

Indeed very true. If we'd had an alternative to Antonio rather than Yarma to bring on in both legs would've helped like....

Haller ?

Re: Cresswell
Yep, I said on here a few times that we were done for after the first leg. That said, we will now never know what might have happened if only Cresswell had a right leg. Also saw a stat that in EL history no side has ever lost their home leg in the SF and progressed to the final.

Even though we lost fair and square and cannot have any complaints (even though Moyes had a few) it still hurts because we lost a very average side, and it would have been Rangers in the final, and as mentioned on another thread even our domestic cups are most of the time being won by the big sides. We missed a huge opportunity and it's not an exaggeration to say it could decades before another one like it comes along.

Re: Cresswell
All 6 teams in the 3 European finals won the home leg of their semi final.
We didn't get knocked out because we lost 1-0 on Thursday, we fucked up our biggest game in 46 years the previous week

The way in which people convinced themselves it was almost 50/50 and we should be confident was downright bizarre

Last chance of winning a trophy?

We'd better throw everything but league games, then. Cups are pointless if you know you're not going to win them.

Hopefully he fucks off at the end of the season.

His complete lack of intelligence has cost the club probably the last chance we ever have of winning a trophy.

Re: Cresswell
I’d play Cresswell in home games when we need to attack but away from home it has to be Johnson. He would have sorted that situation out last night.

Fornals also looks better with a proper defender behind him.

I've not read much of thr debate. When I responded last night I was hammered and pissed off. I like Cresswell, he made a mistake, it cost us, but he's not solely responsible.

Re: Cresswell
Precisely, and then not giving up trying to win the challenge and simply staying goal side of the man.
